The house is connected to municipal water and to the local electric cooperative; but the on-site, grid-connected 19.2 kW solar array is capable of supporting the entire property, should you choose to go off-grid.  The 20x75' greenhouse has an underground cistern that stores rainwater collected from the barn roof and a pump that supplies water for all your gardening needs in the greenhouse.  The 30x70' shop/kennel has its own rainwater cistern that currently supplies a sink in the building.  The 40x75' 2-story barn is connected to the greenhouse and has 3 roll-up doors, insulation, electricity and lights as well as a rough-in for a ground floor bath; the second story is full of windows and would make a terrific guest quarters, kids hang-out, crafting space or even a home-schooling classroom.  The upstairs balcony provides a great place to sit and watch deer and wildlife in the pecan field behind the barn.

The greenhouse is a dream!  It is welded metal frame with 2-ply, ribbed polycarbonate sheets as walls and roof (strong enough to walk on).  In addition to its rainwater cistern, it has electricity, lights, louvers and windows for ventilation as well as exhaust fans, and double doors at each end as well as doors into the adjoining barn.  A wood-burning stove in the center helps keep the temperature moderate during those few winter nights that get cold in this part of Texas.  The interior is tall enough to accommodate citrus trees.

The 30x40' shop has a 30x30' kennel with indoor/outdoor runs.  The shop has 2 roll-up doors with openers.  The entire building has a 20' deep shed roof running along the length of both sides, windows on both ends with doors and porch roofs, insulation, lights, electricity, ceiling fans, there is a separate circuit and wiring set up for installing A/C, if you choose.  The cistern supplies water to the sink in the kennel.

Other outbuildings include an insulated building for the swimming pool equipment, an 8x12' chicken house that can be moved by dragging it with your truck, a large, open-faced shed with an attached flight cage we used for raising game birds, but could easily become a loafing shed for cattle or horses.  There is an 8x20' underground storm shelter with electricity, lights and a ventilation fan, that is easily accessible by a walkable ramp that can accommodate a wheelchair.  It has a sump pump and french drain to help ensure it remains dry. This space could easily be converted to root cellar storage.

The 1-story brick home is comfortable and quite accessible as it is all on one level, no steps or stairs, lever door handles inside, walk in shower in the master.  A second bedroom has an ensuite bath with tub/shower combination.  There is a huge, open plan kitchen and great room as well as a second living room that has a bar sink, cabinets and counters that match the kitchen.  The great room has a wood-burning, forced air fireplace.  There are 2 separate central HVAC units and 2 separate water heaters, one electric and one propane.  The kitchen has an electric oven and a propane cooktop with downdraft exhaust and a built in microwave, nice solid wood cabinetry and new quartz counters.  The separate laundry room includes the washer and electric dryer, cabinets, a sink and the same quartz counters as the kitchen.  There are ceiling fans in every room.  There are wood pergolas covering the back deck and the front and back patios to provide opportunities for outdoor living in the shade as well as to help keep the hot sun off the house.  A matching wood pergola is located over part of the patio at one end of the 20x40' saltwater inground swimming pool.  The pool is a flat bottom sport pool great for exercise and playing water games.
