During the winter, the many south-facing windows keep the house warm through passive solar gain and the radiant floor heat is a luxury to the feet.
Insulation: The home has an estimated R-Value of R-40 for exterior walls and R-38 ceiling. Exterior walls are 10” thick Rastra, in-filled with concrete and rebar, covered with stucco on the exterior and diamond plaster on the interior.
Propane is used for heating domestic water and floor radiant heating system; also for kitchen cooktop. 500 gallon tank (own).
