What makes your home a Green or Healthy Home?
We used 1,300 hundred tires and thousands of aluminum cans in the construction of this home. This house can power, heat and cool itself without the use of any utilities.Property Description
My wife and I built this custom home. It was a true labor of love for us. It has so many custom items itís hard to know where to start. Everyone who has ever visited this home has loved it. The yard, or should I say grounds, are landscaped with hundreds of annual and perennial flowers, two large lawns and many trees. The patios are works of art with fluid lines, built in planters and are terraced. The most common response from first time visitors is Oh my Godî! This home has been featured in many newspaper articles and a network TV human interest story. I have created a private, peaceful environment suitable to raising children or as a private retreat! The central sun filled, vaulted hallway is lined on the south side by 100í of windows. Each room is connected to the hallway, providing beautiful views of the yard with every step. French doors are used throughout the house. Large log beams in each room continue the massive feeling. The kitchen and bathroom have Corian countertops with molded sinks. The bathroom has a double vanity, a large linen cabinet and a huge custom built shower with seat. The utility room has a wash basin and custom cabinets. Propane is used for the on demand water heater, clothes dryer and stove. I used tile for the surfaces of all the custom built cabinets and bookcases in the home. The surfaces are excellent for potted plants, pictures and artwork. I have created a home with Adobe style architecture with modern building materials and it meets all state and local building codes. I spared no expense in making this a safe, well built home. Iím absolutely positive this home will be standing long after traditional built homes are gone.
Neighborhood Description
The home is located in a private community with approximately 4000 residents. The ranch it self covers 13 square miles. We have a public 18 hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts, horse stables, community grounds and pasture. We have two stunning rivers in deep canyons as boarders to the East and West. Many trails and parks are located in the canyons for camping, fishing, and hiking. Waterfalls are the scene for artist and sight seers alike. Its hard to decided which view is better, the snow capped peaks of the Cascade Mountain range to the West or the beautiful buttes and Ocohoco Mountains to the East. With the sunrise the Cascades are washed in pink. In the evening we sit outside and watch the easterly mountains reflect the sunset.Market Area
