Trees, shrubs, and flowers were sourced from local nurseries and are native to the Western NC area. Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, elderberry, pappaw, and muscadines provide and eatable landscape.
The original soil was hard clay. Five years of slowly building soil with compost, mulch, and plants have created a haven for birds, bees, and small animals. No pesticides only organic methods used.
