All logs have been maintained which is a requirement of ownership. There are three canyons on the property which is totally surrounded by National Forest, BLM or State land. There are a few cabins adjacent to the land and occasionally owners come stay for a month or so. Otherwise this is the only full time occupied house on the mountain. San Antonio Mountain is the largest free standing (not attached to any mountain range) mountain in 48 states. It stands 10,908 ft above sea level. The house is at 9200 ft. This home is 50 miles west and north of Taos, New Mexico. It is approximately 20 miles south of Antonito, Colorado. Antonito contains fueling stations, grocery store, restaurants, drug store and medical facilities. Taos is a larger community with all necessary facilities.School District
