The living room and dining room each have a fireplace. Each bedroom has a wood stove. The design and construction of the home make it very energy efficient. Radiant floor heating is installed but has never been hooked up as the passive solar works so well with little supplemental wood heat.
This is a very comfortable, easy to live in house. This home is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It was built with much attention to detail and craftsmanship. There is a flagstone patio on the east side of the house. On the west side is a covered portal within a courtyard and more flagstone patio and entertaining space. The house blends easily into the surrounding landscape.
