Property Description

Traditional cape on cement foundation with attached breezeway and two car garage. The interior space is open with good light, many windows and an open and simple design. There are many storage spaces throughout the downstairs and upstairs. The first floor has a kitchen, living/dining room and full bathroom with a composting toilet and plumbing installed for a flush toilet. Neighborhood Description

The home and property sit off the road with no visibility to passing traffic. The gravel driveway connects to the gravel Collinstown road and is located about 3 miles from the paved main road RT 173 (on the this end in Liberty the road name is Prescott Hill Rd. Once you pass over the Liberty town line into Appleton, the road name becomes Collinstown Rd.) The neighboring properties are very quiet, mostly wooded, with no homes visible from the site. The neighborhood is home to several homesteads, families and others pursuing a life off of grid power. Much of the land on Collinstown road is now owned by the Nature Conservancy with over a 1000 acres of public access land and trails. The road is open year round, with municipality paid maintenance and snow plowing. The home is located in Appleton just across the Liberty town line.

The home in Appleton is about 25 minutes to Belfast, and 25 minutes to Camden both small coastal cities. Appleton is a rural community with farms and forests and an antique feel.
