Neighborhood Description

The neighborhood is ideal for remote living. You are far far away from the maddening crowd yet you feel comfortable knowing that you have a fully operating Guest Ranch (Dude Ranch/Horse Riding Ranch) just within birds eye view about 1/2 a mile away and two other friendly neighbors about 1/2 mile in the other direction who all look out for each other. The road to the place in not a through road and we and our one other neighbor are the only ones who ever drive on this section = peace & quiet !

Market Area

We really enjoy this ideal location approx. 50 miles from the beautiful but busy tourist attracting small city; Lake Havasu that provides endless entertainment from International Boat Racing and Fishing Contests to Off Road Events and Firework displays. There are an abundance of restaurants, grocery stores even a Super Wal-Mart, for everything you need. And if you want a "Big City Fix" Las Vegas is only 2 1/2 hours drive. Yet, we are always happy to return to our beautiful quiet off grid nest.

School District

We are not familiar with the local school district other than knowing that the elementary school is located in Yucca about 15 miles away. There is no bus service as far as we know.

Community

There is an active community of Desert Loving people out here. If you are interested in getting involved with others, you can meet many of your distant neighbors at the Santa Fe Ranch Land Owners Association meetings. Some people have Music Events/Concerts in their homes and others share their insight into building with alternative methods like Straw Bale or living Off Grid on Solar & Wind and Organic Gardening. But most people move here to get away from it all and enjoy being on their own.
