Property Description

Built in 1984, this large block home sits on a country acre surrounded by Sonoran desert foothills, just a quarter mile from a large dedicated open space preserve, where the road deadends at the trailhead. Clean air, great mountain views all around, no close neighbors. Features tile floors throughout, the original, outgassed kitchen cabinets and counters, and an all-electric kitchen. No chemicals used in the interior, no pesticides since 2004, only no-VOC paint.

A two-room suite was added in the same style in 2004 and could be converted into a separate inlaw apartment or rental. Natural desert landscaping, including several large saguaros and agaves.

Private walled backyard with large covered patio and great views of the Tucson mountains. Also includes a covered steel structure for horses or an RV or trailer. East patio features a hot-tub for those cold winter nights.

Price negotiable.

Neighborhood Description

SFRs on one-acre parcels, just a quarter-mile from large open-space preserve for hiking and mountain biking, at the base of the Tucson mountains. Trails continue into Saguaro National Park, which is just a couple of miles aways. The road gets minimal traffic, and the peace and quiet are impressive. The only sounds to break the silence, except for the passing of cars to and from the trailhead, are the howling of coyotes. As I like to say, there are probably more coyotes here than people.

Market Area

Tucson is nestled in a valley at 2500 feet surrounded by several mountain ranges and Saguaro National Park. It's home to the University of Arizona, which keeps it cosmopolitan while also remaining laid back and very friendly. There are three Whole Foods, three Trader Joe's, and an Apple store.
