Property Description

Our home is open and spacious, a 48 ft concrete geodesic dome by American Ingenuity. Sitting on 38.68 acres with a view of the full White Mountain Chain. Convenient to town, only 4 miles Northwest of Snowflake, yet it feels a world away. Our closest neighbor is about a mile away. The slab is a monolithic pour which was insulated and is heated by a Nevian on demand double boiler system, designed with energy efficiency in mind. This heats the hot water as well. We have multiple heating and cooling systems in place. The dome will maintain a constant temperature year round except August, when we occasionally use the AC . We love the heated floors which are totally comfortable in the dead of winter. We rarely have bad weather, being located at a lower elevation gives us a temperate climate. We see snow in the winter, which does not hang around and it is much cooler in the summer than the lower elevations. Our house is designed with overhangs that prevent the heat from entering in the summer, but allow the sun to shine in the winter. The property has a state of the art water distribution system, run with pex tubing that has individual shut offs that are quick and efficient. The walls are 7 inch solid eps insulation (Expanded Polystyrene), which contain NO HBCD, TCPP OR CFC's or formaldehyde. The EPS is covered by steel reinforced concrete which then has 1/4 inch DensArmor Georgia Pacific drywall. It does not rot, mold or burn and insects do not eat it. There is also no off gassing as with traditional insulation or wood products. As a architectural form, the dome is one of the strongest structural forms devised and built by man. Rated for winds up to 225 mph by the manufacture and guaranteed replacement on the triangles or riser panels by the same. The dome is designed to withstand a F-4 tornado and winds reaching 225. This is an amazing and beautiful structure. Includes 40ft steel cargo container, Ford Tractor with box, Older Back Hoe, 30x20 working site built greenhouse.

Neighborhood Description

Beautiful open spaces, Far distant views. Few neighbors that are several miles away. Nice people, we get together at holidays. My neighbors are all fiercely independent and can stand on their own and support their families from their own properties. We are close enough to town to go in every day, but far enough to keep sight seers away. We intend to remain in town, home is too large for us.

Market Area

Snowflake/Taylor is a small town with 5764 in Snowflake and about 4,500 in Taylor. We have several medical clinics, grocery stores and a Walmart. We have an independent Police and fire department. Beautiful town with wide streets, hanging flower baskets and a small town feel.

School District

Snowflake schools are among some of the most in demand in the area. Close knit community ties and family values would describe the feeling over all.
