We are Al & Carol Judge and we would like to tell you about our lovely home.
This is a low-maintenance, well-maintained and energy-efficient patio home among the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, AZ. All exterior maintenance is provided by the HOA. West Sedona is an incredibly convenient place to live with all the needs of daily life within 2 miles of this home. Uptown Sedona is only 4 miles away. Gas prices lose their sting with this type of convenience. What sets this home apart from the rest, is its custom-built and highly efficient office for two. This is an end unit in a group of 5 homes.
We have spent nearly $50,000 in improvements since we purchased our home in October of 2010. Most of that was used to build a custom office-for-two between the kitchen and garage. We also added significant storage to the garage and epoxy coated the garage floor so that it feels more like living space than a garage. An On-Demand water heater was also added at the time of building the office.
Since moving here, Al has become a professional photographer and has his work on display in several locations around town. Although we absolutely love our home and the convenience of living in West Sedona, we are looking for a slightly larger home that will provide space for a photo studio.
We are the second owners. The first owners only used the house as a vacation home for a few weeks of the year, so it has very little wear. The house was very clean and mostly fragrance free when we bought it. The only areas with any fragrance were the laundry room and the vanities in the two bathrooms. We replaced the shelves in the laundry area and repainted with Zero VOC paint. We then had solid wood vanities custom built for both bathrooms. The house has been totally pesticide and fragrance free since we moved in. We also have an ozone generator that we use from time to time to insure that the indoor air is as pure as we can make it.
The community is beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained by the HOA. The only landscaping that we are responsible for is in our back yard. Even the bushes along our walkway are maintained by the HOA. All the plants in our yard are xeroscaped so that no watering is required and trimming is a rare activity that is mostly optional.
With no yard work or exterior home maintenance, you will have plenty of time to enjoy all that Sedona has to offer.
