POWER - Home is off-grid. The solar system and inverter/charger provide both 12V power and 110V power throughout the house and garage. There is a newer Kubota deisel generator for back-up power. SunFrost fridge runs directly off 24V battery system. Separate battery bank and solar system for an energy efficient deep freezer that is in the garage. Solar system, inverter/charger, battery banks, diesel generator, SunFrost fridge and deep freezer are all included with the house.
HEAT - Heated with an air-tight wood stove and also has propane back-up heat on a thermostat. There is also a Wood Stanley kitchen cookstove.
PLUMBING - Full bathroom with a shower stall, low-flush toilet and sink. Front-loading energy-efficient washing machine. Propane powered dryer. Propane on-demand hot water heater. There are two large holding tanks in the loft for your water supply. A 110V submersible pump in the well is used to pump and fill up the holding tanks. Water is clean and delicious.
KITCHEN - Propane 4-burner cookstove and oven. There is also the Wood Stanely cook stove for stove-top cooking and an oven. Large efficient SunFrost fridge runs directly off 24V battery system. There is a second (larger) propane powered kitchen stove and oven outside in the generator shed (for cooking the large Christmas turkey that won't fit in the kitchen ovens).
BUILDINGS - House is approx. 1100 sq. ft. with living room/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, front porch/entry way, downstairs den, bedroom, coldroom, and an upstairs sleeping loft for a second bedroom. House features ornate cabinetry in the bathroom and a beautiful, ornate wood front door and etched-glass storm door. Sunny gazebo. Two-car insulated garage with large work bench and wood stove. Large metal shop/barn. Shed that houses the generator, propane kitchen stove, and propane clothes dryer.
LAND - 120 acres. Approximately 5 acres is cleared and has a great fenced horse pasture. Remainder of land is forested with high-ground aspen/spruce, birch, and low-ground black spruce muskeg. Property backs onto a small secluded lake with an abundance of birds life.
GARDEN - Large fertile garden for vegetables and flowers. Abundant perennials around the yard site provide summer-long blooming. Apple orchard with 8 trees producing 5 different varieties. Also plum trees, cherry trees, pin cherries, choke cherries, raspberries and saskatoons.
