This home has had 2 energy audits. The first was in 2007 and insulation and caulking were done. A 2.7 kW wind turbine was added in 2010. In 2014 another audit was done and more insulation was added along with switching to all electric appliances, furnace and water heater prior to adding solar PV. A 5.6 kW All Earth Solar PV tracker was installed in 2014. Our utility cost at this time is for purchasing firewood and varies with purchase. The town of Burlington has a population of about 1100. Some of the original farms are still being worked as well as old farms that have been brought back by new owners.
