What makes your home a Green or Healthy Home?

Turn a few valves and flip a few switches and this home is completely independent of the grid with its own electricity, well, propane heat and cooking, and septic system. The Hybrid Inverter system and 23 solar panels provide backup electricity. The system is also partially hardened from EMP with multiple in-line breakers. The solar well pump pulls 6 gallons a minute of sparkling crystal clear mountain water from 220 foot using only 300 watts. The 100 gallon solar hot water system (designed for freeze zones) actually feeds the home's water heater with hot water. Use some of that free hot water in the hot tub. Two 1,000 gallon in-ground propane tanks can provide heat and cooking for years. Stock up when it's cheap and save. Plus the home is provided with very affordable electricity from a rural electric co-op.

Neighborhood Description

This newer subdivision (approximately 10 years old) is secluded behind a large pasture off the main road. It sits in the rolling meadows and valley of two foothills. The home is very secluded in the back corner of the subdivision, at the end of a dead end cul-de-sac and backed up to the woods. There are just enough neighbors to keep an eye on who is coming and going that shouldn't be there.
