What makes your home a Green or Healthy Home?
Passive solar heat provides a 65% assist to the 5 zones of radiant hydronic floor heat. The house can stand without heat, but the radiant heat adds comfort to some northern rooms. The main house is passively cooled. Low or non VOC sealers were used and the only room that has been painted is one of the two walk in Master closets.
Besides the rain catch water there are also pumice wicks and gray water systems which passively irrigate. The property grows edible organics, from herbs to Rhubarb, dwarf fruit trees, and a vegetable garden.
