Radiant roof sheeting reverses sun penetration and roof vents help to remove the hot attic air. Near the shop area a panel solar system feeds from the sun & then stores in the covered battery area. If the computer says, "Get a move on", the 2 1/2 watt diesel generator kicks on so that the home continually has electricity with this 48 volt system. The computer also controls how much water is pumped into the 2500-gallon cistern by the well pump, approx. 15 gal/min. A propane hot water heater is governed by a timed recirculating pump. 4 separate electrical circuits are housed in conduit in the large shop avoiding power equipment overloads, including a welder's area. Quiet rural area located just east of the real Old Oregon Trail & north of HWY 299. This country road is paved for 1 1/2 miles and then is base-rock for another mile, with only about 1/2 more mile of dirt road before you arrive at paradise. This location is about 20 minutes to either Lake Shasta or Jones Valley, another marina at Lake Shasta.
