It has a registered well and a private septic system. It sits on 37.64 acres of high desert property in a very remote area. There are 5 other families living in the bowl that these mountains create. Everyone is off-grid. The house was built by owners who wanted to be safe if any Y2K catastrophies happened. Therefore, there are 2 containers on this property that have supplies for catastrophic emergencies. This home has been used only for 2nd home by the owners. It is in excellent condition. It is 5 miles to pavement from this home. All the roads are maintained by the community that lives there. The elevation is about 4500ft. It is a fairly temperate area, with summer temps only occaisionally reaching 100...usually 90\'s and the monsoons start in July. During that time most days have clouds and rain in the afternoon and this also keeps the temperatures down. The winters are also fairly temperate. The daytime is generally above 55 and often is 65 to 70. The nights, however, are quite chilly in the winter. There is plenty of wildlife seen here and the stars provide perfect serenity for sleeping.

The neighborhood is only 5 other homes. All of these homes are off grid and quite far apart from each other. The community does a good job at looking out for one another. Everyone is very respectful of the land and the wildlife. The home is located in the Perilla Mountains.

This home is about 2.5 hours from Tucson Arizona. The nearest city is Douglas. Douglas is about 15 miles away and located on the border of Mexico. Douglas is a small city of about 17000 residents. Bisbee is located across the valley in the Mule mountains, it is an historic mining town that now is home to many artists and tourists.
