I have been remodeling this former chuch camp for 20 years. I have used only natural materials suited to the environmental context of the home. The exterior of all buildings is red cedar. Most of the interior is wood. The Guesthouse and office is completely panelled in the interior with 1 inch custom made oak boards cut and milled a few miles from the site. I have used safecoat paints and sealers on the few painted surfaces.Property Description

Although very natural location also good access to town. 31/2 miles to Grantsburg WI., 12 miles to Pine City, MN and I35 which brings you to twin cities metro area in about an hour.

Neighborhood Description
"Shanti Camp" is located in a rural area where parcels must be 10 acres in size. A few smaller lots were created prior to this 10 acre minimum. This area is protected by recreational zoning through the City of Rock Creek. Rock Creek is a 42 square mile "city" which incorporated in the 60\'s in order to protect this unique location from development. There are only 1400 people in the 42 square mile "city". This property is zoned recreational commercial as it is boardered by Highway 70. A Small Commercial area has been designated for possible National Scenic Riverway oriented businesses. So far there are none and the area is essentially undeveloped. Much of the fate of this area may be in the hands of whoever buys this property!Market Area
